Exhibition Centre of OAO Kirovskiy Zavod (Kirov Plant)

The exhibition centre is located at the site of OAO Kirovsky Zavod (Kirov Plant), its main façade facing the Stachek prospect.

The site used to accommodate a two-storey framework of the uncompleted building of Design Centre 4. According to the design of the new exhibition centre, old structures were to be used to arrange the display space. The space was to comprise a showroom with auxiliary rooms and an open area adjacent to the showroom under a shed, to be used to exhibit machines manufactured by the plant. The lattice fence of the open exhibition space has been made of bent metal elements. 

The style of the exhibition centre façades has been developed taking into consideration the nearby above-ground building of Kirovsky Zavod metro station built in the 1950s. Front façades are draw attention because of massive metal columns and cast-iron architectural decorations. Façades facing the plant territory are more laconic. The podium of the building has been finished with polished granite slabs.
