Residential complex on Evgenyevskaya Street

The land plot is enclosed by Starorusskaya Street to the north, Bakunin Avenue to the south, Ovsyannikovsky Public Garden to the west and Eugenevskaya Street to the east.

The volumetric and planning structure of the complex, consisting of five buildings of different heights, is united by an underground parking lot and follows the sequence of shopping rows. The rear yards stretching from south to north open towards the Church of the Shestokovskaya Icon of the Mother of God, which is the architectural landmark of the area. The buildings forming the outer perimeter of the residential complex are lower than the central ones and have wide arches, arcades and passages oriented towards the adjacent recreational spaces. This is a common technique in St. Petersburg, which allows creating a cozy and candid environment inside the residential complex and integrating it into the surrounding townscape.

The facades of the buildings facing different streets will differ stylistically, presenting a new rendition of classicism and eclecticism. The project aims at preserving the historical structure and form of the historic edifice, with the restoration of the external appearance of both buildings. The project also involves expanding the built-in gallery at the first floor level in the eastern part of the building.
