The ‘Judges’ District’ project entering the second round in the competition

On September 16, 2013 the first round of the competition aimed at selecting the best project design for the ‘Judges' District' was over. There were four projects to enter the second round submitted by ‘M. Atajanz' Architectural Workshop', Ltd., ‘Evgeny Gerasimov and Partners', Ltd., ‘Zemtsov, Kondein and Partners', Plc. and ‘Studio - 44' Architectural Workshop, Ltd.
The design idea presented by ‘E. Merkurijev's Architectural Workshop', Ltd. as well as those of ‘Grigorjev and Partners", Ltd., ‘Mosproject' and Jean - Michel Vilmott's French bureau failed to pass the first round.
According to the information issued by the Secretary of the President Administration, the four projects were to be presented to general public on the President Library's official site (www.prlib.ru) in order to choose the winner via free public voting. The miniature models of the four designs were also to be presented in the Russian Architect Union's Bureau in Saint-Petersburg.
The final results were to be publicized in a month time.
