The Europe Embankment exhibition in Berlin
The European Embankment exhibition starts on the August 14, 2009 in Berlin by the AEDES am Pfefferberg.
The exhibition presents two competitions for the development of one of the most important areas in central St. Petersburg. The entries for the masterplan of David Chipperfield Architects, Mario Botta, Rafael Moneo, Studio 44 and the planning cooperative Evgenij Gerasimov/Sergej Tchoban will be presented in an atmospheric setting as well as the competition for the dance theatre with entries of Atelier Jean Nouvel, Snohette AS, UN Studio and Zemtsov, Kondiain and Partner. The individual designs expose the various approaches of these contemporary architects with regard to the historical and cultural context of St. Petersburg.
