The
complex "Silver Fountain" of a total area of 219050 sq. m includes a separate
office building and 3 residential sections of different height, each forms a
self-contained cozy quarter.
The
complex got its memorable name due to its proximity to the ensemble of
buildings of the Alekseevskaya Water Station (in the Soviet time - the factory "Vodopribor"). Once there was a fountain on this territory that served as a
decoration of the internal square of the enterprise, it was preserved.
In the
development of the composite solution of residential buildings, this factor was
one of the decisive ones. Public area,
landscaping, new harmonious system of visual axes and benchmarks are forming
around this fountain.
As for the architectural solution of «Silver
Fountain», it is characterized by the broadest palette of mutually reinforcing stylistic techniques, referring to various epochs of
the history of Moscow. In total, the complex consists of 5 buildings, one is a
single-section office building, and the other four are of different-height and
multisectioned, grouped around a landscaped courtyard, free of machines.
The General Designer of the entire complex is the
architectural bureau Speech, it has developed solutions for the facades of the
first, third and fourth residential buildings. The Workshop «Evgeny Gerasimov
and Partners» was responsible in this project for solutions of 10 sections facades
of the case 2. And if Speech color
palette was based on terracotta shades, etymologically related new buildings
with the industrial past of the site, while building 2 became for architects «Evgeny
Gerasimov and partners» the subject of broader stylistic searches, not tied
directly to the subject of brick architecture.
Moscow reminiscences were taken as a basis, which
reproduce individual characteristic motifs of the pre-Petro architecture on a
modern scale and with the help of modern construction technologies. Relief
ornaments, large rustles and «diamond cut» saturate the facades, made in a
single light beige range, with various details, giving each section a distinct
individuality. It is important that the scale of the decor varies depending on
the floor - higher corner sections are highlighted by larger patterns, and the
pairing of windows in height and visually lighter windings allow to emphasize
their most profitable role in the structure of the complex.
